The crowd rose to their feet as Valentin Sjöman kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dan Svanström. That made the score 4-2 in the 46 minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-2. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrick Hellström in the 52nd minute of play forced Eksjö's goalkeeper Dan Svanström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Eksjö getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Radamel-Falcao Von Bischhoffshausen hit a great ball. Eksjö's Arjen van Basten quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Per-Arne Termander, made in the 61st minute of the game. The Eksjö fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dan Svanström should have stopped the shot. Dan Svanström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valentin Sjöman in the 85th minute of play. Arjen van Basten kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrick Hellström in the 89th minute of play forced Eksjö's goalkeeper Dan Svanström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 89th minute Patrick Hellström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dan Svanström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eksjö's Dan Svanström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valentin Sjöman in the 90th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Eksjö's Arjen van Basten got a free kick in the 97th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Bankeryd IF fans cheered their team off the field, for while Eksjö had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
