The audience thought a goal was coming when Thomas Valler got free with Eugenio Onofre in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sven Ros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vincent Skark, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. In the 15th minute Wilhelm Kråk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugenio Onofre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sten Levander in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sven Ros saved PESCARA CALCIO from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vincent Skark in the 23rd minute of play forced PESCARA CALCIO's goalkeeper Sven Ros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sven Ros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Thomas Valler stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee felt a red card was in order, 52 minutes into the game, when Christer Löfdahl put in a rough tackle. The referee gave PESCARA CALCIO a penalty, 54 minutes into the game.
