Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Matthias Strömbom made the kick off which started today's match. The supporters of Röstånga booed when Soldiers FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Charlie Damm didn't get a good kick on the ball. 5 minutes into the match, Röstånga's Manfred Brandin broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Röstånga's Roy Bergström got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Röstånga's Elias Torstensson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ingemar Gustavsson in the 11th minute of play. Elias Torstensson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stig-Åke Tham, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Roy Bergström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Claes Kellman hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. If Stig-Åke Tham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Röstånga's Roy Bergström got a free kick in the 23rd minute. When Soldiers FC's Stig-Åke Tham in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Stig-Åke Tham made the kick off in the second half. Karl Sandwall made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roy Bergström in the 58th minute of play. After 62 minutes of play, Soldiers FC's Ingemar Gustavsson made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Elias Torstensson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Soldiers FC's Karl Sandwall played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roy Bergström in the 65th minute of play. Roy Bergström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl Sandwall having to interfere. If Matthias Strömbom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ingemar Gustavsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 76 minutes into the match, Ingemar Gustavsson notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Röstånga's Elias Torstensson. Elias Torstensson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Roy Bergström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Matthias Strömbom managed to get in a good position for a shot. Röstånga's supporters rose to their feet, but Matthias Strömbom was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Karl Sandwall breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Soldiers FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
