With his leg Yngve Vesterberg managed to avoid a goal in the 6thth minute, when Dalhem's George Vennerdal fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. George Vennerdal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Yngve Vesterberg made a huge save. Pelle Petersson made in the 21st minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Filip Broberg however managed to control. In the 23rd minute, George Vennerdal reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Yngve Vesterberg. The goal made the score 1-0. After having played for 27 minutes, George Vennerdal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dalhem's supporters crossed their fingers, but George Vennerdal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Narcis Mihele's late challenge caught a Dalhem's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Narcis Mihele helped the player get up and apologised. After 28 played minutes Katrineholm got a freekick which was hit by Narcis Mihele. In the 30th match minute, Dalhem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adam Hultin to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Katrineholm booed when Dalhem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adam Hultin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jimmie Blom was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.
The wind increased when Börje Wester made the kick off in the second half. Dalhem's Ciro Moreschi got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Börje Wester had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. George Vennerdal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yngve Vesterberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. 57 minutes into the game, Ciro Moreschi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dalhem's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Katrineholm the free kick. Ciro Moreschi kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Dalhem's Jimmie Blom proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Dalhem from getting a goal against them. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Dalhem's goalkeeper Jimmie Blom, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 66 minutes into the match, Dalhem's goal looked a bit too open when Jerko Ulfski came free, but Jimmie Blom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jimmie Blom showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerko Ulfski in the 76th minute of the match. Yngve Vesterberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Lundblad in the 77th minute of the match. Dalhem's Jimmie Blom proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Dalhem from getting a goal against them. Börje Wester was slow to take the kick. During this time Katrineholm's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Katrineholm's corner Börje Wester fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jimmie Blom quite easily take care of the ball. Katrineholm's Yngve Vesterberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by George Vennerdal in the 85th minute of play. Jimmie Blom made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jerko Ulfski in the 86th minute. Börje Wester came free with the goalkeeper in the 87th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jimmie Blom could save by the left post. Börje Wester received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Jimmie Blom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alvar Kihlberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Katrineholm's Yngve Vesterberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Lundblad in the 94th minute of play.
