Jan-Erik Helberg's late challenge caught a Stretford United FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rune Bergdal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 56th match minute, Dala-Järna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patric Wennerberg to maneuver through the defense. Fred Stigsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patric Wennerberg in the 59th minute of the match. Fred Stigsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Josef Nyberg in the 61st minute of play. Fred Stigsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kurt Lennartsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fred Stigsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ove Wästerberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. A collision led to Stretford United FC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Valter Biörling hit a great ball. Dala-Järna's supporters rose to their feet, but Josef Nyberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fred Stigsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
