Aron Hârțan came out of the goal and Antal Valentin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 23rd minute, Vali Buzescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC STEAUA BRAILA's Nicolae Buciu got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to FC STEAUA BRAILA getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Bruno Riccardi hit a great ball. Aron Hârțan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antal Valentin, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After a rather tough play, FC STEAUA BRAILA's Vali Buzescu got a free kick in the 31st minute. Balazs Lajos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fodor Daniel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicolae Buciu in the 34th minute of the match. 34 minutes into the match, Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Korneliusz Kocieniewski. 37 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC STEAUA BRAILA's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Antal Valentin was slow to take the kick. During this time Hungary's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Antal Valentin got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Aron Hârțan quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 38th minute, Bruno Riccardi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Hungary booed when FC STEAUA BRAILA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruno Riccardi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Antal Valentin took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 41st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Aron Hârțan. FC STEAUA BRAILA's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Fodor Daniel made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Korneliusz Kocieniewski sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Hungary defense, Darwin Núñez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fodor Daniel. The Hungary fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fodor Daniel should have stopped the shot. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Korneliusz Kocieniewski to make the kick off. Major Barna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Aron Hârțan made a huge save. Fodor Daniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Darwin Núñez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hungary's Antal Valentin got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Major Barna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Aron Hârțan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 68 minutes into the game, Bruno Riccardi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC STEAUA BRAILA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hungary the free kick. In the 67th minute, one of FC STEAUA BRAILA:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC STEAUA BRAILA. The goalkeeper, Aron Hârțan, was totally fooled by Hungary's Antal Valentin, who 68 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. A collision led to FC STEAUA BRAILA getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Vali Buzescu hit a great ball. When FC STEAUA BRAILA's Korneliusz Kocieniewski in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Aron Hârțan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antal Valentin in the 85th minute. The supporters of FC STEAUA BRAILA booed when Hungary was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antal Valentin didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC STEAUA BRAILA succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Hungary had controlled the match.
