Sandsjöfors FK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. 20 minutes into the match, Sandsjöfors FK's goal looked a bit too open when Ludo De Hoef came free, but Patrik Johnsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alexander Sellberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christer Hafström, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. After some careless play in the Sandsjöfors FK defense, Ludo De Hoef kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Patrik Johnsson. The Sandsjöfors FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Patrik Johnsson should have stopped the shot. After 29 minutes of play, Sandsjöfors FK's Roger Elg made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alexander Sellberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 39th minute, one of Sandsjöfors FK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sandsjöfors FK. Hugo Berdoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Patrik Johnsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ludo De Hoef stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Patrik Johnsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexander Kock, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of BVB Dortmund booed when Sandsjöfors FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christer Hafström didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 65th minute, Maximilian Käller hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 69 minutes into the game, one of Sandsjöfors FK:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Alexander Kock ran back to his position shaking his head. If Hjalmar Wallin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Patrik Johnsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ludo De Hoef in the 99th minute of play. Alexander Kock's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Patrik Johnsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 100th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the BVB Dortmund players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
