Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Kent Heggert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roger Elg in the 6th minute of play. In the 13th minute Roger Elg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kent Heggert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kent Dahlbom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Patrik Johnsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Hammarby IF's Kent Heggert got control of the ball when Christer Hafström tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christer Hafström got free with Kent Heggert in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Stellan Lindgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kent Dahlbom in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Patrik Johnsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Patrik Johnsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kent Dahlbom, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fredric Beckeman kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roger Elg in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kent Heggert saved Hammarby IF from getting behind. Hammarby IF's Kent Heggert proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Hammarby IF from getting a goal against them. Christer Hafström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Patrik Johnsson came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Hammarby IF's Stellan Lindgren. But to his dismay, Stellan Lindgren quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Roger Elg made the kick off in the second half. Kent Heggert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christer Hafström, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. 54 minutes into the game, one of Hammarby IF:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Sandsjöfors FK's Roger Elg got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Roger Elg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Kent Heggert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sandsjöfors FK's goalkeeper Patrik Johnsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Christer Hafström scored 2-1 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kent Heggert, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Christer Hafström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kent Heggert having to interfere. A collision led to Sandsjöfors FK getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Fredric Beckeman hit a great ball. After having played for 97 minutes, Christer Hafström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sandsjöfors FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christer Hafström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Hammarby IF's zone, Roger Elg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kent Heggert came out of the goal and Roger Elg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
