In the 15th match minute, Gävle FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wiktor Broman to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Vicente Henriques's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ivan Olsson was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Bengt Sjöberg hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. In the 19th minute, Hampus Runberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Gävle FF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ivan Olsson should have stopped the shot. 38 minutes had been played when some careless play by Gävle FF's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Alfons Åhlberg was slow to take the kick. During this time Hammar's players had a chance to rest. Vicente Henriques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Olsson having to interfere. Nuratay Mustafali received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Ivan Olsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hammar's Jan-Åke Busk got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Frans Dalgren during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Frans Dalgren hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Ivan Olsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vicente Henriques's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. When Frans Dalgren came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Gävle FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frans Dalgren couldn't finish the play. In the 62nd match minute, Hammar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ingvar Igelström to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wiktor Broman in the 65th minute of play forced Hammar's goalkeeper Sigvard Olenberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vicente Henriques in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ivan Olsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gävle FF's Ivan Olsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vicente Henriques in the 69th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nuratay Mustafali in the 73rd minute of play forced Gävle FF's goalkeeper Ivan Olsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jan-Åke Busk scored 6-0 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ivan Olsson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match clock showed 80 minutes, the score became 7-0 when Vicente Henriques sped through Gävle FF's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ivan Olsson. 83 minutes into the match, Gävle FF's goal looked a bit too open when Vicente Henriques came free, but Ivan Olsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nuratay Mustafali in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ivan Olsson saved Gävle FF from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vicente Henriques in the 92nd minute of play forced Gävle FF's goalkeeper Ivan Olsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Vicente Henriques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hammar walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
