Spectators: 6657 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1657, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Frans Dalgren started the match with the kick off. Ove Lundin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ivan Olsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ove Lundin, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. After 16 played minutes Gimo FF got a freekick which was hit by Michael Hägert. In the 17th minute Ove Lundin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Olsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ivan Olsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ove Lundin in the 18th minute of play. After having played for 22 minutes, Ove Lundin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gimo FF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ove Lundin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Michael Hägert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Michael Hägert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gimo FF's Ove Lundin got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ove Lundin in the 34th minute of play forced Gävle FF's goalkeeper Ivan Olsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 35 minutes into the match, Michael Hägert notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Gävle FF's Ivan Olsson. Ivan Olsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ivan Olsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ove Lundin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ove Lundin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ivan Olsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. Michael Hägert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Ivan Olsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Ivan Olsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Göran Tunander, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. The supporters of Gimo FF booed when Gävle FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frans Dalgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Ove Lundin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gimo FF's supporters rose to their feet, but Ove Lundin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ivan Olsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ivan Olsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ove Lundin in the 56th minute of the match. Ove Lundin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ove Lundin in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ivan Olsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Michael Hägert succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-2 in the 65th playminute. Michael Hägert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Olsson having to interfere. After having played for 71 minutes, Ove Lundin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gimo FF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ove Lundin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Michael Hägert blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ivan Olsson having to make a save. When Gimo FF's Ove Lundin in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gävle FF's goalie prevented a goal. Ivan Olsson was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ove Lundin showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 78 minute of play. In the 81st minute, Michael Hägert left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gimo FF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Ove Lundin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Ivan Olsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ove Lundin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Olsson having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ove Lundin in the 89th minute of play forced Gävle FF's goalkeeper Ivan Olsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gimo FF's Michael Hägert got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wiktor Broman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Arman Göransson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gimo FF played a much better game than Gävle FF and deserved their victory. The Gävle FF players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
