Börje Christoffersson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bengt-Rune Hedström in the 28th minute of the match. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Hova's goalkeeper Börje Christoffersson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 32 played minutes Hova got a freekick which was hit by Patrik Åhman. In the 33rd minute Marcus Lindqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Börje Christoffersson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Börje Christoffersson came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by White Saints's Marcus Lindqvist. But to his dismay, Marcus Lindqvist quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Björn Pettersson during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Lars Åkesson's late challenge caught a White Saints's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lars Åkesson helped the player get up and apologised.
