The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Elmer Lidastein got the match started through his kick off. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 5th minute of the game. One of Bygdeå IK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of IFK Katrineholm:s goal. A collision led to Bygdeå IK getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Henry Alefors hit a great ball. If Elmer Lidastein had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bertil Alefors was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Andreas Jansson showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 22 minute of play. IFK Katrineholm's Elmer Lidastein came free and shot a quick shot against goal 24 minutes in the game, fortunately Bertil Alefors had problems saving as it came toward the left post. In the 25th minute, Andreas Jansson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Elmer Lidastein's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 27thth minute, Bertil Alefors skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Bertil Alefors took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andreas Jansson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 34 played minutes Bygdeå IK got a freekick which was hit by Jan-Åke Bammerman. 48 minutes into the match, Bygdeå IK's goal looked a bit too open when Andreas Jansson came free, but Bertil Alefors reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 50 minutes had been played when some careless play by Bygdeå IK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Niclas Alström was slow to take the kick. During this time IFK Katrineholm's players had a chance to rest. Henry Alefors tried to clear up in front of Bertil Alefors but instead he got an unlucky hit on the ball which made it go via the left pole into goal meaning 3-0 in the 50th matchminute. A very disappointing self made goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

In the 57th minute Birger Valström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Craig Jones saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bertil Alefors showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andreas Jansson in the 61st minute of the match. Bygdeå IK were furious when Jonatan Kiempe was red carded, 62 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee gave IFK Katrineholm a penalty, 64 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Elmer Lidastein, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Bygdeå IK's Bertil Alefors. 4-0. Elmer Lidastein fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bertil Alefors having to interfere. Elmer Lidastein succeeded in the game's 73rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 5-0. After having played for 77 minutes, Viggo Sikström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bygdeå IK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Viggo Sikström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Boris Axelsson fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bygdeå IK's protests and gave Boris Axelsson a yellow card for diving instead. Boris Axelsson hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Casper Påk in the 91st minute of play forced Bygdeå IK's goalkeeper Bertil Alefors to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bertil Alefors showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Casper Påk in the 93rd minute of the match. IFK Katrineholm's Craig Jones proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save IFK Katrineholm from getting a goal against them. Bertil Alefors took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Casper Påk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. IFK Katrineholm fully deserved thier win.
