The referee showed Gunnar Ahlbom the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 2 minutes into the game, one of Påläng RK:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Jon Brenner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karl-Michael Thorsberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. 9 minutes had been played when some careless play by Vällingby's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Orkun Sefik was slow to take the kick. During this time Påläng RK's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Orkun Sefik got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jon Brenner quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Jon Brenner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Allan Ekenberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Arne Bredberg made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Peder Johansson sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Peder Johansson got free with Arne Bredberg in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 15th minute Orkun Sefik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jon Brenner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Allan Ekenberg in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jon Brenner saved Vällingby from getting behind. 17 minutes into the match, Påläng RK's goalkeeper Arne Bredberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Peder Johansson. Påläng RK were furious when Harald Nyström was red carded, 18 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 18 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Påläng RK! Påläng RK:s Arne Bredberg showed great skill when he stopped Ronny Vallengren:s penalty. Karl-Michael Thorsberg struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Jon Brenner didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Påläng RK. Arne Bredberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven-Edvin Vester in the 31st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Allan Ekenberg in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jon Brenner saved Vällingby from getting behind. 37 minutes into the match, Vällingby's goal looked a bit too open when Allan Ekenberg came free, but Jon Brenner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jon Brenner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Allan Ekenberg in the 40th minute of play. If Sven-Edvin Vester had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Allan Ekenberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jon Brenner having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Allan Ekenberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Jon Brenner made a huge save. If Allan Ekenberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 57 minutes, Karl-Michael Thorsberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Påläng RK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karl-Michael Thorsberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Allan Ekenberg came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Påläng RK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Allan Ekenberg couldn't finish the play. Allan Ekenberg had several of the Vällingby's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 62 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Jon Brenner as he didn't even see the shot coming. Allan Ekenberg's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 66thth minute, Jon Brenner skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 67 minutes into the game, Allan Ekenberg recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jon Brenner. Allan Ekenberg showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Jon Brenner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Allan Ekenberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Karl-Michael Thorsberg received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jon Brenner came out and tried to block the shot, but Karl-Michael Thorsberg slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 72nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Allan Ekenberg in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jon Brenner saved Vällingby from getting behind. After some careless play in the Påläng RK defense, Ture Lindholm kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arne Bredberg. The Påläng RK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arne Bredberg should have stopped the shot. Arne Bredberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven-Edvin Vester in the 90th minute of the match. Allan Ekenberg in the 95thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jon Brenner, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When Gösta Jonasson came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Påläng RK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gösta Jonasson couldn't finish the play. When the final whistle sounded Påläng RK left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Vällingby.
