Hälleforsnäs IK's Robert Västerstrand played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Allan Jakobsson in the 13th minute of play. If Georg Ekblom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 18 minutes into the match, Hälleforsnäs IK's goalkeeper Robert Västerstrand had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Georg Ekblom. In the 19th minute, Allan Jakobsson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Robert Västerstrand. The goal made the score 1-0. The audience was convinced that Georg Ekblom's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Robert Västerstrand was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Kåre Gulliksson charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hannes Bäckman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Allmänna Idrottsklubben's Andreas Hedvall was substituted for Kåre Gulliksson. Robert Västerstrand stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Georg Ekblom's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Allan Jakobsson couldn't finish the play.
