Sandsjöfors's Amador Ugaitz got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 12 minutes into the match, Mikael Haglund had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Andreas Uter. Åre's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mikael Haglund was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Andreas Uter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amador Ugaitz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Osvald Hägg scored 0-2 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Andreas Uter, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Åre's zone, Amador Ugaitz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andreas Uter came out of the goal and Amador Ugaitz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 25th minute, Göran Anselius hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 28thth minute of the game Amador Ugaitz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Åre's Andreas Uter was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Andreas Uter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mikael Haglund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Åre's Andreas Uter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amador Ugaitz in the 36th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, Sandsjöfors's goalkeeper Mark Axelsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Karl-Erik Lindqvist. Amador Ugaitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andreas Uter having to interfere. When Karl-Erik Lindqvist came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Åre fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karl-Erik Lindqvist couldn't finish the play. After the first half Sandsjöfors were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Amador Ugaitz to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Sandsjöfors booed when Åre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ingmar Wassenius didn't get a good kick on the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 53 minutes, Andreas Uter successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Osvald Hägg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 59th minute Mikael Haglund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andreas Uter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 61st minute, Amador Ugaitz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mark Axelsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 84 minutes into the match, Sandsjöfors's goal looked a bit too open when Karl-Erik Lindqvist came free, but Mark Axelsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 87 played minutes Sandsjöfors got a freekick which was hit by Amador Ugaitz. Amador Ugaitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out.
