In the 27th match minute, IFK Troja was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven-Ove Ekberg to maneuver through the defense. Sune Arvidsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Casper Lång tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 38 minutes, Alf Clementsson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. IFK Troja's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alf Clementsson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 39 minutes, Erik Björk mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Åtvidaberg BK and the IFK Troja players grew even worse after the yellow card. Erik Björk hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alf Clementsson in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Efim Bilenko saved Åtvidaberg BK from getting behind. Casper Lång took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ingvar Lind, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 55th minute, Jonny Hellström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 61 minutes into the game, Sven-Ove Ekberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Efim Bilenko was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Börje Caspersson hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. IFK Troja's Casper Lång played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ingvar Lind in the 68th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Arnis Rozenplāns's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Casper Lång was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. In the 71st minute Alf Clementsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Efim Bilenko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
