Jimmie Ljungberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Charlie Olenberg made a huge save. When Henrik Danielsson came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Hakkas IK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Henrik Danielsson couldn't finish the play. Karl-Erik Hellqvist struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Kurt Bröms didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hakkas IK. When Hakkas IK's Karl-Erik Hellqvist in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Karl-Erik Hellqvist to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Henrik Danielsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hakkas IK's supporters rose to their feet, but Henrik Danielsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kurt Bröms breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Karl-Erik Hellqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 66 played minutes Grönskåra got a freekick which was hit by Einar Nyman. Oskar Wallin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kurt Bröms having to interfere. If Karl-Erik Hellqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
