After 9 minutes, 鲁邦骏 mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Karlstad and the Blåränderna players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 9th minute, 鲁邦骏 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ennio Disastro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stefan Mellbad in the 13th minute of play. Kenneth Uggla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Máximo Ogazón tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kenneth Uggla hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Sverker Norberg kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Ennio Disastro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mikeldi Salz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ennio Disastro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 鲁邦骏 in the 22nd minute of the match. After 24 minutes of play, Karlstad's Mikeldi Salz made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ennio Disastro was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 26th match minute, Karlstad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gösta Boberg to maneuver through the defense. Kenneth Uggla charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kenneth Uggla the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Karlstad booed when Blåränderna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kenneth Uggla didn't get a good kick on the ball. Blåränderna's Torsten Fastesson got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ennio Disastro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mikeldi Salz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 38 minutes into the match, Gösta Boberg notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Blåränderna's Ennio Disastro. Ennio Disastro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 43 minutes into the game, Stefan Mellbad was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Karlstad's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Blåränderna the free kick. After 43 played minutes Karlstad got a freekick which was hit by Stefan Mellbad. Mark Milligan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Máximo Ogazón read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. After the first half Karlstad were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Blåränderna's Ennio Disastro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Blåränderna from getting a goal against them. Ennio Disastro made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Mikeldi Salz sent off a good shot on target. Ennio Disastro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gösta Boberg in the 54th minute of the match. Ennio Disastro made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Mikeldi Salz sent off a good shot on target. In the 58th minute Gösta Boberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ennio Disastro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mikeldi Salz might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ennio Disastro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mikeldi Salz ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Blåränderna's Ennio Disastro got control of the ball when Mikeldi Salz tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Gösta Boberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ennio Disastro was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. The Blåränderna fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Karlstad were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
