The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Isac Kiempe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jens-Ove Västerstrand showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Walter Lindman in the 6th minute of the match. Walter Lindman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jarl Lidberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roger Klint having to interfere. When Sture Lindblom fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The Björkhults FF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roger Klint should have stopped the shot. After 26 played minutes Näsviken got a freekick which was hit by Jens-Erik Berg. Walter Lindman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Jens-Ove Västerstrand tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isac Kiempe in the 42nd minute of play forced Näsviken's goalkeeper Jens-Ove Västerstrand to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Walter Lindman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Björkhults FF's Tony Sundberg got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jarl Lidberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Tony Sundberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jens-Ove Västerstrand made an important save on a dangerous shot by Walter Lindman in the 58th minute. In the 60th minute, Peter Åkesson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 65th minute, Walter Lindman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jens-Ove Västerstrand was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. When Walter Lindman came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Björkhults FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Walter Lindman couldn't finish the play. Walter Lindman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Jens-Ove Västerstrand tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Isac Kiempe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Björkhults FF's supporters rose to their feet, but Isac Kiempe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jens-Ove Västerstrand breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Walter Lindman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jens-Ove Västerstrand having to interfere. Björkhults FF played a much better game than Näsviken and deserved their victory. The Näsviken players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
