If Dag Enström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 16th match minute, The Flying Tigers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robin Kiempe to maneuver through the defense. 19 minutes in the game, Ahmet Seyfi Oskay fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Per-Åke Arenstedt having to interfere. Ture Bark blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Per-Åke Arenstedt having to make a save. In the 22nd minute Patric Lund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlo Mol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ture Bark in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Per-Åke Arenstedt saved The Flying Tigers from getting behind. 27 minutes into the match, Hisingen IK's goal looked a bit too open when Patric Lund came free, but Carlo Mol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Patric Lund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Carlo Mol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Flying Tigers's Patric Lund got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dag Enström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlo Mol having to interfere. Niklas Arvidsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Per-Åke Arenstedt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half The Flying Tigers were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ture Bark stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Pontus Flink ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Per-Åke Arenstedt was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Per-Åke Arenstedt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ahmet Seyfi Oskay, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Carlo Mol was a little too slow when Dag Enström got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 63rd minute. The score was now 1-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Dag Enström managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Flying Tigers's supporters rose to their feet, but Dag Enström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlo Mol breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ahmet Seyfi Oskay in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Per-Åke Arenstedt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Carlo Mol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patric Lund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 81st minute Patric Lund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlo Mol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Per-Åke Arenstedt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ture Bark in the 83rd minute of play. When Hisingen IK's Ahmet Seyfi Oskay in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
