Johan Pihlgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfons Kihlman in the 11th minute of play. In the 18th minute Ingvar Sandell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johan Pihlgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ingvar Sandell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johan Pihlgren having to interfere. In the 30th minute, Ingvar Sandell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 32 minutes into the match, Malmköping RK's goal looked a bit too open when Ingvar Sandell came free, but Johan Pihlgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 37 minutes into the game, Erling Koch cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Johan Pihlgren was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 42nd minute, Emil Dahlkvist fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of John Ekström, passed just outside the right post. After the first half Lund were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ingvar Sandell was the one to do the kick off. John Ekström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Svante Lindkvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Ingvar Sandell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emil Dahlkvist hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Alfons Kihlman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johan Pihlgren having to interfere. Malmköping RK's Johan Pihlgren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Malmköping RK from getting a goal against them. In the 68th minute, Emil Dahlkvist left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Malmköping RK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. If Ingvar Sandell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Erling Koch managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lund's supporters rose to their feet, but Erling Koch was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Johan Pihlgren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ingvar Sandell got in the 83rd a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Johan Pihlgren handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emil Dahlkvist in the 91st minute of play forced Lund's goalkeeper John Ekström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erling Koch struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Johan Pihlgren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lund. Johan Pihlgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ingvar Sandell in the 96th minute of play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
