The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 36th minute of the game. One of A.I.K.:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Hawards FK:s goal. In the 38th minute there was a penalty for Hawards FK. Mats Vollander stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Göran Linquist. 1-2.

After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Charles Wassenius managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hawards FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Charles Wassenius was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elias Torsberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Petru Cutean in the 83rd minute of the match. Elias Torsberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Torsten Ivarsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Petru Cutean kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Elias Torsberg. That made the score 2-6 in the 97 minute of play.
