Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) FC picaboo's Tomas Lövkvist started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 played minutes FC picaboo got a freekick which was hit by Ivan Blanck. Christer Björling made a great header on Edsbyn FK's corner, it was just that FC picaboo's Karl-Axel Åkerström managed to reach the ball for a save. August Gadd came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by FC picaboo's Tomas Lövkvist. But to his dismay, Tomas Lövkvist quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Edsbyn FK's August Gadd played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Lövkvist in the 15th minute of play. When Esbjörn Jakobsson fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Edsbyn FK's protests and gave Esbjörn Jakobsson a yellow card for diving instead. In the 15th minute, Esbjörn Jakobsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Tomas Lövkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Christer Björling took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 20th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Karl-Axel Åkerström. FC picaboo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Esbjörn Jakobsson in the 22nd minute of play forced FC picaboo's goalkeeper Karl-Axel Åkerström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to FC picaboo getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Torsten Åkerström hit a great ball. Ingvar Mårtensson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Staffan Forssell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 42nd minute, FC picaboo's Max Kellberg seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Max Kellberg the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of FC picaboo protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Max Kellberg had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 42 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC picaboo! Karl-Axel Åkerström went to the wrong direction when Christer Björling was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. FC picaboo's Tomas Lövkvist got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Staffan Forssell to make the kick off. Christer Björling took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 55th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Karl-Axel Åkerström. FC picaboo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Karl-Axel Åkerström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Staffan Forssell in the 56th minute of play. Aron Vennerkvist hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Edsbyn FK's August Gadd played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Lövkvist in the 61st minute of play. In the 63rd minute of the match Michael Rosén shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but August Gadd showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Tomas Lövkvist kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Carl Abrahamsson charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carl Abrahamsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Carl Abrahamsson hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Karl-Axel Åkerström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Esbjörn Jakobsson in the 73rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, FC picaboo's Lucas Planes got a free kick in the 74th minute. In the 86th minute, Esbjörn Jakobsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Karl-Axel Åkerström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ingvar Mårtensson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
