FC Solhemspojkarna's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 21 minutes into the match, Lennart Smed had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sten Sigman. FC Solhemspojkarna's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lennart Smed was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Sten Sigman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ralf Boklund in the 24th minute of play. Duff IF's Sture Kruuse played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Torbjörn Blom in the 27th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rasmus Vik in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sten Sigman saved FC Solhemspojkarna from getting behind. Sten Sigman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lennart Smed in the 31st minute of play. In the 44th minute, Lennart Smed left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Duff IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. The supporters of Duff IF booed when FC Solhemspojkarna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexander Lindberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rasmus Vik to strike the kick off in the second half. If Rasmus Vik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sten Sigman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rasmus Vik went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Alexander Lindberg hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in FC Solhemspojkarna's zone, Rasmus Vik stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sten Sigman came out of the goal and Rasmus Vik tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 68 minutes into the match, Duff IF's Lennart Smed sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sten Sigman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rasmus Vik who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 72ndth minute tested the skills of Sten Sigman when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Rasmus Vik did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-4 to the left of a surprised Sten Sigman 72 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, FC Solhemspojkarna's Evert Boberg got a free kick in the 76th minute. Torbjörn Blom hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. 86 minutes into the match, FC Solhemspojkarna's goalkeeper Sten Sigman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rasmus Vik. Lars-Erik Allboms short, quick shot in the 87thth minute got Sten Sigman to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With a little luck, FC Solhemspojkarna's Sten Sigman got control of the ball when Rasmus Vik tried to sneak it across the goal line. Duff IF's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
