Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Johannes Östensson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bertil Bergdal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Bertil Bergdal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fjärås IFK's Mats Forsberg got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sten Bock scored 0-1 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Knut Ek, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Knut Ek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bengt-Arne Håning, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Knut Ek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sten Bock, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 25th minute, Fjärås IFK's Mats Forsberg ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Johannes Östensson. Johannes Östensson yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Bertil Bergdal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fjärås IFK's Knut Ek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kent Hägert in the 40th minute of play. Sten Bock received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Knut Ek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bertil Bergdal made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mats Forsberg in the 52nd minute of play forced ajax's goalkeeper Johannes Östensson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mats Forsberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Johannes Östensson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Reine Vestlund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Knut Ek having to interfere. Sten Bock received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Knut Ek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mats Forsberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Bertil Bergdal came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Fjärås IFK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bertil Bergdal couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, ajax's Bengt-Arne Håning got a free kick in the 66th minute. After a defensive mix-up in ajax's zone, Bertil Bergdal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Johannes Östensson came out of the goal and Bertil Bergdal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Knut Ek made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sten Bock in the 73rd minute. 75 minutes into the match, ajax's goal looked a bit too open when Mats Forsberg came free, but Johannes Östensson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Reine Vestlund could shoot a difficult shot in the 78th minute, which Knut Ek however easily saved by the left post. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Sten Bock took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Knut Ek to make any attempt to save it. 87 minutes into the match, ajax's goal looked a bit too open when Mats Forsberg came free, but Johannes Östensson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Mats Forsberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bertil Bergdal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Johannes Östensson having to make a save. In the 93rd minute, Mats Forsberg made a precise shot to the right of Johannes Östensson. ajax's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Mats Forsberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Fjärås IFK players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
