Hultafors's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Åmsele FK the free kick. 林宁源 hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Claes Ekström made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Folke Hellgren sent off a good shot on target. Claes Ekström was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Folke Hellgren showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 19 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Åmsele FK's zone, Bo-Erik Holmgren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tim Lundberg came out of the goal and Bo-Erik Holmgren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Hultafors getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Richard Felin hit a great ball. In the 37th match minute, Åmsele FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Häger to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot 40 in the game by Folke Hellgren from a close distance when the talented Claes Ekström managed to make a qualified save. Hultafors's players were relieved. The supporters of Hultafors booed when Åmsele FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Dahlgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aaron Botvidsson made a kick off. After 54 played minutes Åmsele FK got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Häger. When Aaron Botvidsson came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Hultafors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aaron Botvidsson couldn't finish the play. Kalle Söder hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Hultafors's Aaron Botvidsson was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 63rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After 66 played minutes Åmsele FK got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Häger. Aaron Botvidsson did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-2 to the left of a surprised Tim Lundberg 67 minutes into the match. Hultafors's Richard Felin got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bo-Erik Holmgren's late challenge caught a Åmsele FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bo-Erik Holmgren helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Hultafors's Bo-Erik Holmgren got a free kick in the 72nd minute. In the 77th match minute, Hultafors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Calle Jelm to maneuver through the defense. Jerry Bergman struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Claes Ekström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Åmsele FK. After a rather tough play, Hultafors's Douglas Biörkquist got a free kick in the 80th minute. Claes Ekström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Folke Hellgren in the 82nd minute of the match. After some careless play in the Hultafors defense, Folke Hellgren kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Claes Ekström. The Hultafors fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Claes Ekström should have stopped the shot. 林宁源's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tim Lundberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Folke Hellgren's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Claes Ekström was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. Claes Ekström stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Folke Hellgren's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. Hultafors's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
