In the 23rd match minute, Rimbo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kennet Eklund to maneuver through the defense. 25 minutes into the match, Rimbo's goal looked a bit too open when Lars Sandell came free, but Ingvar Haegg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ingvar Haegg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johannes Sundberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. A hard shot 38 in the game by Freddie Back from a close distance when the talented Sven-Åke Hedbom managed to make a qualified save. Kingriver's players were relieved. A collision led to Kingriver getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Karl Norberg hit a great ball. After 45 played minutes, Rimbo's Kennet Eklund shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Sven-Åke Hedbom came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rimbo reached it. 49 minutes into the match, Rimbo's Kennet Eklund sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sven-Åke Hedbom narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

Freddie Back fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven-Åke Hedbom having to interfere. Sven-Åke Hedbom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kennet Eklund in the 64th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 65 minutes, Ingvar Haegg successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. A collision led to Rimbo getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Mikael Håning hit a great ball. Ingvar Haegg was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Bernt Kolberg. In the 68th minute Johannes Sundberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ingvar Haegg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Kennet Eklund managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rimbo's supporters rose to their feet, but Kennet Eklund was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sven-Åke Hedbom breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 73rd match minute, Kingriver was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl Norberg to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, Freddie Back put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Sven-Åke Hedbom. The crowd rose to their feet as Yngve Tolsson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ingvar Haegg. That made the score 5-1 in the 78 minute of play. Freddie Back sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 86 minutes into the match, Kennet Eklund had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sven-Åke Hedbom. Kingriver's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kennet Eklund was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-1. A sloppy throw-in by Fredric Hjortsberg in the 89th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Rimbo's Karl-Åke Bergman. An unexpectedly hard shot by Freddie Back in the 92nd minute of play forced Kingriver's goalkeeper Sven-Åke Hedbom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There was no doubt that Rimbo were the better team. Rimbo's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
