The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcus Söderberg helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Landol IF getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Marcus Söderberg hit a great ball. 6 minutes into the match, Landol IF's goal looked a bit too open when Greger Björkkvist came free, but Gaudencio Su reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 9 played minutes, Västerås Sport Klubb's Arvin Ekeberg shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gaudencio Su came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Västerås Sport Klubb reached it. After 15 played minutes Västerås Sport Klubb got a freekick which was hit by Christer Nordmark. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Västerås Sport Klubb's goalkeeper Kurt Olsman, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dennis Mazzola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Kurt Olsman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kurt Olsman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stefan Lenberg's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. When Landol IF's Stefan Lenberg in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Västerås Sport Klubb's goalie prevented a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Stefan Lenberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Landol IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Stefan Lenberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kurt Olsman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Västerås Sport Klubb's Kurt Olsman got control of the ball when Dennis Mazzola tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Stefan Lenberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Landol IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Stefan Lenberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kurt Olsman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Stefan Lenberg made the kick off in the second half. Klas Palm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 53 played minutes Västerås Sport Klubb got a freekick which was hit by Hjalmar Wahlström. 56 minutes into the match, Västerås Sport Klubb's goal looked a bit too open when Stefan Lenberg came free, but Kurt Olsman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Stefan Lenberg came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Landol IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stefan Lenberg couldn't finish the play. Andreas Söderberg took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 59th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Kurt Olsman. Västerås Sport Klubb's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Stefan Lenberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kurt Olsman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. When Stefan Lenberg came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Landol IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stefan Lenberg couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Västerås Sport Klubb's zone, Dennis Mazzola stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kurt Olsman came out of the goal and Dennis Mazzola tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hjalmar Wahlström kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Stefan Lenberg in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kurt Olsman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Dennis Mazzola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stefan Lenberg struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Kurt Olsman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Landol IF. In the 77th minute, Thomas Björk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 79 played minutes, Västerås Sport Klubb's Vilgot Vallgren shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gaudencio Su came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. Landol IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Västerås Sport Klubb the free kick. The supporters of Västerås Sport Klubb booed when Landol IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stefan Lenberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kurt Olsman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stefan Lenberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Västerås Sport Klubb's Kurt Olsman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stefan Lenberg in the 85th minute of play. In the 87th minute, Arvin Ekeberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Landol IF's Regino Solezzi tried to score from far away in the 88th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Kurt Olsman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Klas Palm in the 91st minute of the match.
