Spectators: 7297 (Terracing: 5474, Seating: 1678, VIP seats: 145) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Oskar Finman started the match with the kick off. After 2 played minutes Sun Devils got a freekick which was hit by Hans Ekerot. Brian Flinck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rui Oliveira in the 5th minute of play. In the 6thth minute of the game Oskar Finman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sun Devils's Brian Flinck was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 0-1 became the score in the 7th minute when Sven Harlén elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oskar Finman in the 10th minute of play forced Sun Devils's goalkeeper Brian Flinck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th minute August Salqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frans Fastesson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thomas Soned could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Frans Fastesson made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Fc Caont's zone, August Salqvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frans Fastesson came out of the goal and August Salqvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Fc Caont's Frans Fastesson got control of the ball when Eddie Olsmann tried to sneak it across the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, Eddie Olsmann had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Frans Fastesson. Fc Caont's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eddie Olsmann was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Oskar Finman in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Brian Flinck prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Göran Pilberg took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 33rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Brian Flinck. Sun Devils's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 38 minutes into the game, August Salqvist cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Frans Fastesson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 44th minute August Salqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frans Fastesson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and August Salqvist made a kick off. When Fc Caont's Sven Harlén in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sun Devils's goalie prevented a goal. 58 minutes into the match, August Salqvist notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of Fc Caont's Frans Fastesson. Frans Fastesson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Fc Caont's Göran Pilberg got a free kick in the 62nd minute. In the 66th match minute, Fc Caont was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michael Billberg to maneuver through the defense. Brian Flinck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven Harlén in the 71st minute of play. Frans Fastesson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thomas Soned in the 74th minute of the match. Håkan Johnsson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 77th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Brian Flinck. Sun Devils's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 80 minutes of play, Sun Devils's Thomas Soned made it 5-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Frans Fastesson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Oskar Finman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Brian Flinck made a huge save. In the 94th match minute, Sun Devils was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Douglas Lidman to maneuver through the defense. In the 98th minute, Eddie Olsmann made a precise shot to the right of Frans Fastesson. Fc Caont's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-2. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Sun Devils had won after a very even match.
