Bertil Ahlstedt was out of position in the 19 minute of play, and Karl-Åke Wallander capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-4.

In the 94th minute Pär Paulin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bertil Ahlstedt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Skogsluffarna's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
