Sydney Zanette hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Mariedal IK's Paul Wallman slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Kjell Vallengren. That made the score 1-2 after 35 minutes of play. In the 39th minute, Alf Blom got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 42nd minute, Joar Eliasson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sixten Ingvall in the 44th minute of play forced Mariedal IK's goalkeeper Ove Smedfeldt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ove Smedfeldt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sixten Ingvall in the 46th minute of the match. If Conny Karlsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sixten Ingvall was the one to do the kick off. Kjell Vallengren came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by Mariedal IK's Paul Wallman. But to his dismay, Paul Wallman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Sixten Ingvall's late challenge caught a Mariedal IK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sixten Ingvall helped the player get up and apologised. In the 53rd match minute, Blåsmark FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sixten Ingvall to maneuver through the defense. Gaston Godoy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gaz Lynam fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ove Smedfeldt having to interfere. Alf Blom scored 2-3 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ove Smedfeldt, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ove Smedfeldt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaz Lynam, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 76 minutes in the game, Gaz Lynam fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Ove Smedfeldt having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Sixten Ingvall could shoot a difficult shot in the 86th minute, which Ove Smedfeldt however easily saved by the left post. After 91 played minutes Blåsmark FK got a freekick which was hit by Alf Blom. When the final whistle sounded Blåsmark FK left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Mariedal IK.
