Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Georg Näfver in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carl Örtlund prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Sten Gadd managed to get in a good position for a shot. LAZA FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sten Gadd was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carl Örtlund breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 33rdth minute of the game Georg Näfver who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Smedby AIS's Carl Örtlund was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Georg Näfver came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the LAZA FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Georg Näfver couldn't finish the play. 36 minutes into the game, Sten Gadd cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Per Berglund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carl Örtlund having to interfere. Carl Örtlund made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sten Gadd in the 47th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Georg Näfver to make the kick off.
