Kent Vestberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alf Forssberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Tommy Dusett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alf Forssberg having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kent Vestberg in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alf Forssberg saved Eriksgoagubbar from getting behind. In the 30th minute, Kent Vestberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alf Forssberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After 33 played minutes Eriksgoagubbar got a freekick which was hit by Mats Larsson . In the 39th minute Rares Anghel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anton Rang saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alf Forssberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kent Vestberg in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 54th match minute, Idre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bror Uggstedt to maneuver through the defense. Idre's Anton Rang played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marquinhos Aguiar in the 55th minute of play. Algot Karlsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tommy Dusett received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Alf Forssberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Algot Karlsson in the 70th minute of play forced Idre's goalkeeper Anton Rang to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tommy Dusett could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Alf Forssberg made a huge save. Bror Uggstedt took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 73rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alf Forssberg. Eriksgoagubbar's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Alf Forssberg made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Tommy Dusett sent off a good shot on target. 80 minutes into the match, Idre's goal looked a bit too open when Algot Karlsson came free, but Anton Rang reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Eriksgoagubbar booed when Idre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karl-Axel Gallberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Idre supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Idre would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
