William Pilgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patric Täman in the 23rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sten Haraldsson got free with William Pilgren in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Björbo RK's William Pilgren got control of the ball when Sten Haraldsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sonny Ekström in the 40th minute of play forced Näckrosen's goalkeeper Jon Dalkvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sten Haraldsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ettore Giorgio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but William Pilgren read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. Björbo RK's William Pilgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sten Haraldsson in the 55th minute of play. When Sten Haraldsson came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Näckrosen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sten Haraldsson couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ettore Giorgio in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg William Pilgren saved Björbo RK from getting behind. If Patric Täman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. William Pilgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sten Haraldsson in the 72nd minute of the match. After some careless play in the Näckrosen defense, Sonny Ekström kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jon Dalkvist. The Näckrosen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jon Dalkvist should have stopped the shot. In the 77th minute, Viktor Ekgren reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jon Dalkvist. The goal made the score 2-3. Jon Dalkvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viktor Ekgren in the 80th minute of the match. In the 83rd minute, Patric Täman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. William Pilgren was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-3. Björbo RK succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Näckrosen had controlled the match.
