After 22nd play minutes Gustav Ekeberg shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Daniel Törnqvist and just under the crossbar into goal. Sverker Vennerberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Daniel Törnqvist. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sverker Vennerberg ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 29th minute John Forss shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustav Rudqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 29th minute, Orlando Hegoi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gustav Ekeberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd minute, Buriram United's Sverker Vennerberg dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. Buriram United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustav Ekeberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Sverker Vennerberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Törnqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustav Ekeberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. 3-1 became the score in the 48th minute when Sverker Vennerberg elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Sverker Vennerberg made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 58 minutes, Michael Lustig managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Buriram United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Michael Lustig was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bror Collin's late challenge caught a Buriram United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bror Collin helped the player get up and apologised. After 64 played minutes Grabbarna Med Ribba got a freekick which was hit by Bror Collin. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sverker Vennerberg in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Daniel Törnqvist prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Buriram United's Sverker Vennerberg got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 77th match minute, Buriram United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sverker Vennerberg to maneuver through the defense. When Sverker Vennerberg came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Buriram United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sverker Vennerberg couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Gustav Ekeberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Buriram United's supporters rose to their feet, but Gustav Ekeberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Daniel Törnqvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Buriram United's Sverker Vennerberg got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emanuel Bolander hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. 90 minutes into the match, Grabbarna Med Ribba's goal looked a bit too open when Sverker Vennerberg came free, but Daniel Törnqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. John Forss could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 99th minute of the match, but Gustav Rudqvist made a huge save. Grabbarna Med Ribba's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
