If Dennis Ek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sven-Åke Vase showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Göran Vibjörnsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Sven-Åke Vase showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Göran Vibjörnsson in the 30th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Joakim Brenner's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sven-Åke Vase was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. 42 minutes into the match, Uddeholm's goal looked a bit too open when Göran Vibjörnsson came free, but Sven-Åke Vase reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sven-Åke Vase made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Jonasson in the 43rd minute of play. Sven-Åke Vase didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Göran Vibjörnsson went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dennis Ek was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Berga's zone, Calle Bergendahl stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ingemar Karlsson came out of the goal and Calle Bergendahl tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ingemar Karlsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Börje Sundström in the 55th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joakim Brenner in the 57th minute of play forced Uddeholm's goalkeeper Sven-Åke Vase to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Uddeholm getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Calle Bergendahl hit a great ball. Berga's Ingemar Karlsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dennis Ek in the 62nd minute of play. When Daniel Jonasson fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Berga's protests and gave Daniel Jonasson a yellow card for diving instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Jonasson got free with Sven-Åke Vase in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Uddeholm getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Kent Björling hit a great ball. Alvar Lindström's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sven-Åke Vase read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. After 77 minutes of play Berga's Daniel Jonasson was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Uddeholm booed when Berga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Jonasson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Uddeholm's zone, Alvar Lindström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sven-Åke Vase came out of the goal and Alvar Lindström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Uddeholm's Sven-Åke Vase played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joakim Brenner in the 83rd minute of play. In the 85th minute of the match, Nils-Åke Gustavsson tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sven-Åke Vase saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When the final whistle sounded Berga left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Uddeholm.
