In the 19th match minute, Malmö ff was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evert Ståhlman to maneuver through the defense. In the 33rd minute, Anton Jonasson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Herman Hellqvist was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evert Ståhlman in the 43rd minute of play forced Stoby's goalkeeper Mikael Siggman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Malmö ff players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Stoby were winning 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Matthias Norberg was the one to do the kick off. Mikael Siggman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matthias Norberg in the 53rd minute of the match. 58 minutes into the match, Evert Ståhlman notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Stoby's Mikael Siggman. Mikael Siggman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 63rd match minute, Malmö ff was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Torsten Törnblom to maneuver through the defense. Per-Erik Jernberg kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. When Evert Ståhlman came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Malmö ff fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Evert Ståhlman couldn't finish the play. Matthias Norberg charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Matthias Norberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Malmö ff getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Matthias Norberg hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anton Jonasson in the 96th minute of play forced Malmö ff's goalkeeper Herman Hellqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Herman Hellqvist stood somewhat misplaced when Leo Enegren came free in front of goal and shot 1-4 to the left of him in the 100 minute. The Malmö ff fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Stoby were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
