Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Måns Sjöberg started the match with the kick off. Karl-Johan Vassenius stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Måns Sjöberg's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. After a rather tough play, FC Nimo's Bertil Lindman got a free kick in the 9th minute. After having played for 17 minutes, Måns Sjöberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gräsmyr IFK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Måns Sjöberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Karl-Johan Vassenius made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Frans Rudberg sent off a good shot on target. Karl-Johan Vassenius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Måns Sjöberg in the 21st minute of play. The audience held their breath when Oscar Pååk in the 24th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Ingvar Kristiansson's left hand side. Måns Sjöberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vilhelm Tunström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl-Johan Vassenius having to interfere. The supporters of Gräsmyr IFK booed when FC Nimo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Calle Palmquist didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 36th minute, Vilhelm Tunström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 38th minute Peder Billock shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl-Johan Vassenius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 41 minutes into the match, FC Nimo's goal looked a bit too open when Frans Rudberg came free, but Karl-Johan Vassenius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Karl-Johan Vassenius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Måns Sjöberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Frans Rudberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Karl-Johan Vassenius made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Måns Sjöberg sent off a good shot on target. 47 minutes into the game, Gräsmyr IFK's Frans Rudberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Karl-Johan Vassenius made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Calle Palmquist made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Måns Sjöberg in the 53rd minute of play forced FC Nimo's goalkeeper Karl-Johan Vassenius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Måns Sjöberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 58th minute, Måns Sjöberg made a precise shot to the right of Karl-Johan Vassenius. FC Nimo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Måns Sjöberg took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Karl-Johan Vassenius. Karl-Johan Vassenius dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. In the 66th minute, Calle Palmquist ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ingvar Kristiansson was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. 69 minutes into the match, FC Nimo's goal looked a bit too open when Frans Rudberg came free, but Karl-Johan Vassenius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC Nimo's Karl-Johan Vassenius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Måns Sjöberg in the 71st minute of play. Karl-Johan Vassenius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Måns Sjöberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Frans Rudberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Karl-Johan Vassenius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Måns Sjöberg in the 79th minute of play. Frans Rudberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Karl-Johan Vassenius. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Frans Rudberg ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Måns Sjöberg in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Karl-Johan Vassenius saved FC Nimo from getting behind. In the 90th minute, Leonard Ahlstedt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gräsmyr IFK's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Orvar Ivarsson in the 93rd minute. Gräsmyr IFK's Orvar Ivarsson was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Karl-Johan Vassenius in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When Vilhelm Tunström came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Gräsmyr IFK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vilhelm Tunström couldn't finish the play. Karl-Johan Vassenius didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Måns Sjöberg went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score.
