Syrianska FC's Axel Holmgren couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 7th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Romakloster. Bernt Hammarbäck had great luck who in the 11thth minute grab hold of the ball when Josef Lundqvist from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. 13 minutes had been played when some careless play by Syrianska FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jerry Göransson was slow to take the kick. During this time Romakloster's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Romakloster's corner Jerry Göransson fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Bernt Hammarbäck quite easily take care of the ball. Arí de Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Bernt Hammarbäck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 23 minutes into the match, Syrianska FC's goal looked a bit too open when Josef Lundqvist came free, but Bernt Hammarbäck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th minute of the match Sven Hellström shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Per Holmgren showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Bernt Hammarbäck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Börje Alebeck in the 36th minute of play. In the 38th minute of the game Henry Blomberg made a throw-in which Torsten Lindman played forward. Syrianska FC's Bernt Hammarbäck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arí de Almeida in the 39th minute of play. If Josef Lundqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Magnus Botvidsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Josef Lundqvist in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bernt Hammarbäck saved Syrianska FC from getting behind. Jarl Vinström hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Josef Lundqvist in the 58th minute of play forced Syrianska FC's goalkeeper Bernt Hammarbäck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Romakloster's defense didn't have a chance, in the 60th minute, when Magnus Botvidsson scored to the left of an out of position Per Holmgren, making the score, 0-1. Magnus Botvidsson took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Per Holmgren. Per Holmgren dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Syrianska FC's Max Biörnberg shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 72nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Per Holmgren but with some difficulty. Per Holmgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stig-Åke Biörk in the 74th minute of play. Per Holmgren made an important save on a dangerous shot by Stig-Åke Biörk in the 75th minute. Per Holmgren was a little too slow when Stig-Åke Biörk got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 79th minute. The score was now 0-3. A hard shot by Sven Hellström from long distance, 92 minutes into the match, got Per Holmgren's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Romakloster's Per Holmgren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Romakloster from getting a goal against them. When the match was over Syrianska FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Romakloster throughout the match.
