Evert Nyberg's late challenge caught a FC Älgered's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Evert Nyberg helped the player get up and apologised. Erling Skålberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orvar Berggren having to interfere. In the 12th minute, Antoni Laba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Göran Håkansson struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Axel Rosendal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for St. Beddinge. An unexpectedly hard shot by Göran Håkansson in the 30th minute of play forced FC Älgered's goalkeeper Axel Rosendal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rdth minute of the game Göran Håkansson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Älgered's Axel Rosendal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Gösta Håning had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Orvar Berggren made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Casper Ahlroht sent off a good shot on target. Erling Skålberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Erling Skålberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to St. Beddinge getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Evert Nyberg hit a great ball. Orvar Berggren was a little too slow when Erling Skålberg got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 44th minute. The score was now 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Erling Skålberg made the kick off in the second half. St. Beddinge's Orvar Berggren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erling Skålberg in the 51st minute of play. When St. Beddinge's Göran Håkansson in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Älgered's goalie prevented a goal. In the 56th minute, Casper Ahlroht had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Evert Nyberg was shown his second yellow card after 56 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. FC Älgered's Måns Olsmann was substituted for Casper Ahlroht. Måns Olsmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 63rd minute, Kjell Mårtensson made a precise shot to the right of Axel Rosendal. FC Älgered's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. If Erling Skålberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of FC Älgered booed when St. Beddinge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antoni Laba didn't get a good kick on the ball. Östen Kvarnström hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Måns Olsmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 79th minute FC Älgered were awarded a corner. Erling Skålberg went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 80th minute Gösta Håning shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orvar Berggren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Måns Olsmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orvar Berggren having to interfere. Gösta Håning sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 86 minutes into the match, Erling Skålberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Orvar Berggren. St. Beddinge's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Erling Skålberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. After a rather tough play, St. Beddinge's Antoni Laba got a free kick in the 88th minute. Gösta Håning received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Orvar Berggren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. St. Beddinge's Orvar Berggren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gösta Håning in the 92nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in St. Beddinge's zone, Gösta Håning stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Orvar Berggren came out of the goal and Gösta Håning tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gösta Håning recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
