Viktor Västberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alf Karlsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 24th minute, Alf Karlsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Valter Hammarbäck's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Viktor Västberg was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. Ingvar Blomqvist struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Viktor Västberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Klagshamn FF. Klagshamn FF's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Gert Bammerman 47 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Valter Hammarbäck was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valter Hammarbäck in the 64th minute of play forced Vänersborg's goalkeeper Viktor Västberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 69 minutes into the match, Vänersborg's goal looked a bit too open when Valter Hammarbäck came free, but Viktor Västberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 74 minutes into the game, Jens-Erik Danielsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Klagshamn FF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vänersborg the free kick. Klagshamn FF played a much better game than Vänersborg and deserved their victory. The Vänersborg players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
