After a rather tough play, Vänersborg's Filiph Holmgren got a free kick in the 3rd minute. A hard shot 9 in the game by Andreas Nilsson from a close distance when the talented Viktor Västberg managed to make a qualified save. Vänersborg's players were relieved. 11 minutes into the game, Edvin Nordström was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vänersborg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Väddö the free kick. Edvin Nordström hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Andreas Gausdal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gert Bammerman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 18th minute, Edvin Nordström ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Andreas Gausdal was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Viktor Västberg was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Mikael Åberg showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 23 minute of play. Mikael Åberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Viktor Västberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 29th minute, Mikael Åberg fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Viktor Västberg, passed just outside the right post. Viktor Västberg was out of position in the 30 minute of play, and Andreas Nilsson capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Andreas Nilsson really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Mikael Åberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.
Gert Bammerman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Andreas Gausdal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. Gert Bammerman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Viktor Västberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mikael Åberg in the 60th minute of play. Mikael Åberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Viktor Västberg having to interfere. Andreas Gausdal came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Vänersborg's Edvin Nordström. But to his dismay, Edvin Nordström quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Mikael Åberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Viktor Västberg having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Andreas Nilsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Viktor Västberg was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. Andreas Gausdal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gert Bammerman's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. In the 87th minute Edvin Nordström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andreas Gausdal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Viktor Västberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mikael Åberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Despite being the better team, Väddö failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
