In the 9th minute Rune Ros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aron Kock saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andreas Fransson's late challenge caught a Murjek IFK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Andreas Fransson helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Murjek IFK booed when Hofors FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andreas Fransson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Murjek IFK's Vidar Gregersson got a free kick in the 35th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vidar Gregersson to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute of the match Sven-Åke Forssberg shot from a long distance. In the 81st minute of the match Vilgot Brander sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Claes Ekström skillfully saved the ball. If Vidar Gregersson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Hofors FK's Sture Sillén got a free kick in the 84th minute. Aron Kock showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vidar Gregersson, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Hofors FK's Aron Kock proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Hofors FK from getting a goal against them. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Hofors FK fans cheered their team off the field, for while Murjek IFK had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
