Max Månsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Christian Holm. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. When Kim Helström came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Kalmar FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kim Helström couldn't finish the play. With 36 minutes on the clock, Malte Ek commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Max Månsson in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Christian Holm saved Surte from getting behind. 40 minutes into the game, Isac Cane was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Surte's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kalmar FF the free kick.
