Sandared's Kjell-Arne Melander got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fred Olsmann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Magnus Forsman, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Bernt Eklund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Börje Biörling in the 34th minute of play. Michel Tunbergs short, quick shot in the 36thth minute got Bernt Eklund to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in Sandared's zone, Börje Biörling stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernt Eklund came out of the goal and Börje Biörling tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Michel Tunbergs short, quick shot in the 38thth minute got Bernt Eklund to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Michel Tunberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Bernt Eklund made a huge save. After 45 minutes of play, Sandared's Magnus Forsman made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fred Olsmann was left in no man's land by his defense there! The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kjell-Arne Melander to strike the kick off in the second half. Rörvik's Fred Olsmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kjell-Arne Melander in the 52nd minute of play. The supporters of Sandared booed when Rörvik was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jens-Erik Haglund didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fred Olsmann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kjell-Arne Melander in the 62nd minute of the match. Börje Biörling sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 69th minute, Christian Ståhlman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Börje Biörling took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 70th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bernt Eklund. Sandared's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Henrik Hult didn't get a good kick on the ball. 94 minutes into the match, Sandared's goal looked a bit too open when Börje Biörling came free, but Bernt Eklund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
