A collision led to Jävrebyn BK getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Kasper Brandin hit a great ball. Club Atlético de Madrid's Sven Fernkvist got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kenny Nyman during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Kenny Nyman kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. In the 12th minute of the match Jan Linberg shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pelle Örtendahl showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 13th minute, Kasper Brandin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kjell Wahlnäs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Sven Fernkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 20 minutes, Sven Fernkvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Atlético de Madrid's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sven Fernkvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Frank Sandström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kjell Wahlnäs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute Kjell Wahlnäs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frank Sandström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pelle Örtendahl stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edward Söderström's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Kjell Wahlnäs took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Frank Sandström to make any attempt to save it. Frank Sandström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kjell Wahlnäs, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. If Sven Fernkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Villiam Hurtig to make the kick off. Sven Fernkvist scored 2-0 in the 51st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Frank Sandström, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Pelle Örtendahl made an important save on a dangerous shot by Helge Högman in the 55th minute. Herman Stigsson kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 59th minute, Helge Högman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Frank Sandström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kjell Wahlnäs in the 65th minute of play. Jan Linberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Jävrebyn BK's Henrik Blom slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Pelle Örtendahl. That made the score 2-1 after 71 minutes of play. After a defensive mix-up in Jävrebyn BK's zone, Sven Fernkvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frank Sandström came out of the goal and Sven Fernkvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sven Fernkvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Sandström having to interfere. In the 85thth minute of the game Sven Fernkvist who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jävrebyn BK's Frank Sandström was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Helge Högman hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Kjell Wahlnäs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Frank Sandström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético de Madrid's Agne Askestät got a free kick in the 91st minute. When Henrik Blom came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Jävrebyn BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Henrik Blom couldn't finish the play. Pelle Örtendahl made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Helge Högman sent off a good shot on target.
