After some careless play in the Alsterbro defense, Virgilijus Auga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rickard Hedström. The Alsterbro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rickard Hedström should have stopped the shot. In the 18th minute, Alvin Ahlfors made a precise shot to the right of Rickard Hedström. Alsterbro's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Ove Olsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kurt Vennerberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. In the 27th minute, Arne Stenman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Fyrklövern fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Alsterbro's Rickard Hedström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgilijus Auga in the 31st minute of play. In the 38th minute John Ljungberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rickard Hedström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a left leg Rickard Hedström saved Alsterbro from getting behind. After the first half FC Fyrklövern were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arne Stenman was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Robert Hellqvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 61 minutes into the game, Arne Stenman lined in a short shot 0-7 behind a frustrated Rickard Hedström. The audience was convinced that Arne Stenman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rickard Hedström was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. In the 66th minute Virgilijus Auga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rickard Hedström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Arne Stenman kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rickard Hedström. That made the score 0-8 in the 68 minute of play. After 75 played minutes Alsterbro got a freekick which was hit by Hannes Palmkvist. Kurt Vennerberg charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kurt Vennerberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Alsterbro getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Kurt Vennerberg hit a great ball. Rickard Hedström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arne Stenman in the 78th minute. 81 minutes into the match, Alvin Ahlfors notched a goal, 0-9, to the right of Alsterbro's Rickard Hedström. Rickard Hedström was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rickard Hedström was a little too slow when Arne Stenman got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 85th minute. The score was now 0-10. 92 minutes into the match, Alsterbro's goalkeeper Rickard Hedström had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alvin Ahlfors. Alvin Ahlfors received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Rickard Hedström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC Fyrklövern's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
