A very good chance. 7 minutes into the match, Gästrike-hammarby's Nils-Erik Löfgren sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Martin Hult narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 12th minute, Hans Collin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Raoul Welchau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sverker Möller having to interfere. Evert Hernström charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Evert Hernström the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 41 played minutes Gästrike-hammarby got a freekick which was hit by Evert Hernström. Markus Pil recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The wind increased when Markus Pil made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Villands Vånga BF's Martin Hult got control of the ball when Nils-Erik Löfgren tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 52nd minute Hans Collin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Hult saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Martin Hult showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hans Collin in the 54th minute of the match. Felix Vennerström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sverker Möller having to interfere. The Gästrike-hammarby supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Gästrike-hammarby would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
