With an extended leg and a bit of luck Daniel Valström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 5th minute Tage Fribäck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Valström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Siljansnäs RK's Daniel Valström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tage Fribäck in the 12th minute of play. Edmund Nyberg was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Dennis Ekblom showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 15 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tage Fribäck in the 23rd minute of play forced Siljansnäs RK's goalkeeper Daniel Valström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tage Fribäck in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Daniel Valström saved Siljansnäs RK from getting behind. A collision led to Nykil RK getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Magnus Söderlund hit a great ball. Sten Sundström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Daniel Valström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by John Hellkvist during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 33 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Siljansnäs RK! Tage Fribäck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Daniel Valström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Samuel Karlsson's late challenge caught a Siljansnäs RK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Samuel Karlsson helped the player get up and apologised. After 42 played minutes Nykil RK got a freekick which was hit by Samuel Karlsson. When Tage Fribäck came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Nykil RK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tage Fribäck couldn't finish the play. If Lars Vennerlund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nykil RK's Tage Fribäck got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dennis Ekblom made a kick off. Tage Fribäck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sten Sundström got free with Daniel Valström in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 66th minute, Tage Fribäck got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sten Sundström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Valström having to interfere. Dennis Ekblom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edmund Nyberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dennis Ekblom, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Magnus Söderlund charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Magnus Söderlund the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Edmund Nyberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Esbjörn Åkerberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nykil RK's Rune Unesson got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 81stth minute of the game Tage Fribäck who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Siljansnäs RK's Daniel Valström was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 82 minutes into the game, Esbjörn Åkerberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Siljansnäs RK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nykil RK the free kick. Esbjörn Åkerberg hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Tage Fribäck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tage Fribäck in the 94thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Daniel Valström, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Siljansnäs RK were victorious despite being under pressure from Nykil RK for much of the match.
