Spectators: 7251 (Terracing: 5440, Seating: 1667, VIP seats: 144) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Andy Högberg took the kick off in the first half of the match. Evert Pedersson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 2nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Mullhyttan FF's Joakim Lindström got a free kick in the 4th minute. Alf Åberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andy Högberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Andy Högberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kim Möller's late challenge caught a Mullhyttan FF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kim Möller helped the player get up and apologised. Sven-Olof Albäck hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Evert Pedersson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Jörn Malm tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Sven-Åke Tunander came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Mullhyttan FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sven-Åke Tunander couldn't finish the play. Börge Ståhlberg who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 28thth minute tested the skills of Alf Åberg when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Vitaby IFK's Jörn Malm played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven-Åke Tunander in the 29th minute of play. Mullhyttan FF's Alf Åberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Mullhyttan FF from getting a goal against them. Andy Högberg hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. When Evert Pedersson came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Mullhyttan FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Evert Pedersson couldn't finish the play. 41 minutes into the match, Mullhyttan FF's Sven-Edvin Ekenberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jörn Malm narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Evert Pedersson made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Andy Högberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alf Åberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 62 minutes into the game, Börge Ståhlberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Alf Åberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Evert Pedersson struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Jörn Malm didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mullhyttan FF. Evert Pedersson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jörn Malm having to interfere. Jörn Malm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evert Pedersson, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. In the 77th minute, Kim Möller hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 86th minute Evert Pedersson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jörn Malm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 93 minutes into the match, Andy Högberg notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Mullhyttan FF's Alf Åberg. Alf Åberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mullhyttan FF's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Vitaby IFK had won, even though Mullhyttan FF had held more of the ball.
